Gertrude Constance Eaton, 83, of Litchfield, NH died Wednesday April 21, 2010 at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack, NH. Mrs. Eaton was born in Londonderry, NH on February 9, 1927, daughter of the late George and Beatrice (Ashford) Gagne. She has resided in Litchfield for the past 15 years, formerly living most of her life in Londonderry and Derry, NH. After 20 years, she retired in 1993 from Treasure Masters in Derry. She had previously worked for Klev-Bro Shoe in Derry and Salvage Shoe in Manchester. She was an avid crafter, enjoyed baking, growing flowers and watching the birds.
She is survived by two sisters, Gloria Myrdek and Phyllis Dunham, both of Manchester, also numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Arthur M. Eaton in 2007 and by her siblings, Ernest Gaines, Kenneth Gagne, Glover Gagne, Lillian Crawford, Ruth Madden and Rosetta Pelletier.
There are no calling hours. A graveside service was held on Monday April 26, 2010 at 9:00am at Forest Hill Cemetery, E. Derry. The Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry is handling arrangements. Memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
