Arthur J. Jordan, Sr., 59, of Derry, NH died Tuesday April 20, 2010 at his home. Mr. Jordan was born in Mattapan, MA on January 9, 1951, son of Ruth (Silva) Jordan and the late Marlin Jordan. He had resided in Derry for the past 20 years, formerly living in Malden and Somerville, MA. He was a US Army veteran having served during the Vietnam War. He was employed for Raytheon Corp. in Andover, MA for 32 years.
He is survived by six children, Arthur J. Jordan, Jr. of Manchester, NH, Heidi L. Jordan and Donald W. Canterbury both of South Carolina, Kevin W. Canterbury of Haverhill, MA, Brian K. Canterbury of Malden, MA, and Joanne F. Fournier of Florida, 11 grandchildren, his mother of Somerville, MA, one sister, Marlene Pianabianco of Billerica, MA, two brothers, Robert Jordan and Gerald Jordan, both of Somerville, MA, also many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours were held Friday April 23, 2010 from 6 - 8pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. Graveside services with military honors were held on Saturday at 10:00am in the Old Pine Grove Cemetery, Epping St., Raymond, NH.
