WORCESTER-George W. Jollymore, 98, of Worcester died Sunday, April 18th in UMass Memorial Hospital. His wife of 17 years, Katherine M. (Kudzma) Jollymore died in 2009. He leaves a sister, Mary Scannell of Falmouth, and six nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by a daughter, Ann Jollymore, and a sister, Eleanor Cormier.
He was born in Worcester the son of George B. and Johanna (Ryan) Jollymore. Mr. Jollymore worked for the Internal Revenue Service for 30 years, retiring many years ago; he later taught at the Worcester branch of Northeastern University and was in private practice as an Internal Revenue Service Agent. He was an avid pianist and enjoyed tinkering.
The funeral is Monday, April 26th from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue with a Mass at 11:00 AM in Blessed Sacrament Church, 555 Pleasant Street. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are from 9:30 until 10:30 AM in the funeral home.
