Obituary

Sylvia L. ( Carpentier) Ouellette 98, of 10 Rhodes Ave. North Smithfield died Sunday at St. Antoine Residence. She was the wife of the late Leo A. Ouellette. She was born in Woonsocket, a daughter of the late Hercule and Azilda (Therrien) Carpentier. Mrs. Ouellette did assembly work for C. Rae Randall Co. in Attleboro for twenty years before retiring in 1976. She was a member of the St. Germain Manor Club, the Royal Travelers, AARP and St. Joseph and St. Louis Senior Citizens.

Mrs. Ouellette is survived by a son, Rev. Mr. Lucien Ouellette and his wife Lucille of Lakeland, FL, a daughter Constance Harnois and her husband Emile of Woonsocket, five grandchildren Diane Lebrun, Michelle Heroux, Kenneth Harnois, Denise O'Connor and Patricia Lamothe, and six great grandchildren. She was also the grandmother of the late Jacqueline Ouellette and sister of the late Arthur, Anatole, Gabriel, Leopold, Donat, Raphael, and Leodor Carpentier, Aldea Cote, Dorilda Racine, Priscilla Belleville, Rosa Rousseau, Lucia Pelissier, and Rita Laliberte.

Her funeral will be held Friday at 9:30 AM from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland St. Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM in St. Joseph's Church, Mendon Rd. Woonsocket. Burial will be held in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery in Bellingham. Visiting hours are Thursday 5-8 PM.
