Obituary

Therese V. (Michaud) Ferland 84, of Woonsocket, died at home after a short illness. She was the wife of the late Henri A. Ferland, and the daughter of the late Albert J. and Rhea (Boisselle) Michaud. She is the sister of Edmund Michaud and his wife Ruth of Woonsocket, she was also the sister of the late Raymond Michaud and Angelina (Michaud) Belanger.

She is survived by two sons, Albert H. Ferland and his wife Lucille of Woonsocket, and Robert N. Ferland and his wife Joyce of Belleville, IL.

She was a Memère and Grandma to seven grandchildren, Robert Ferland and his wife Sherri of Coventry, Richard Ferland and his wife Julie of Pawtucket, Suzanne Sevegny and her husband Scott of North Smithfield, Diane Passafaro and her husband Steven of Plainville, MA, Daniel Ferland of MO, Brian Ferland and Patrick Ferland and his wife Amber all of IL.

She also leaves three step-grandchildren, Daniel Hall and his wife Jill of AK, Dennis Hall and his wife Mary, and Michelle Kehrer and her husband Kenneth all of IL.
She was Grand Memère to her three "Petunias", great-granddaughters, Kaleigh, Abby, and Natalie, and her "Prince" great-grandson Alex.

She was also loved by her seven step great-grandchildren, Alaina and Marjorie Zahn of Pawtucket, Haleigh, Natalie, Hunter, and Kennedi of IL, and Benjamin of Alaska. She was also recently blessed with a great -great grandson Jeremy.


Therese was born in Woonsocket and spent her entire life here. She worked many years at the French Worsted and other textile mills in Woonsocket, and over twenty five years at Texas Instrument in Attleboro where she worked as a quality control inspector.
She devoted many hours to the Heart Club and Boy Scouts in which her husband was deeply involved.
Therese will be remembered by her family as always loving life and living it to its fullest. She never missed a chance to go out and enjoy the pleasure of company. She will be missed by family and friends whom she always referred to as "her most treasured possessions".

Her funeral will be held Thursday at 9:00 AM from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland St. Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Precious Blood Church, Carrington Ave. Woonsocket. Burial will be held in St. Jean Baptiste Cemtery in Bellingham. Visiting hours are Wednesday 4-8 PM.
