Obituary

James K. Joyce, 76, of Danvers, died unexpectedly at Beverly Hospital on Sunday, April 18, 2010. He was the loving husband of Jennie (Dluznieska) Joyce, with whom he shared forty-nine years of marriage.
Born in Boston on December 3, 1933, he was the son of the late Coleman and Barbara (Williams) Joyce.
A longtime Danvers resident and graduate of Boston University, Mr. Joyce was employed for many years by Sanders Associates of Nashua, NH and had previously worked as a newspaper reporter. He enjoyed gardening and was an expert photographer.
In addition to his wife, he leaves two beloved daughters, Jennifer and Brenda Joyce. He was the brother of Margaret Chase of Whitman and Joseph Joyce of South Boston. He was predeceased by his brothers and sisters, Vincent, Patricia, Pauline, Clement, Gerard, Richard, Evelyn, Claire, and Terrance Joyce.
His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, April 22, 2010 at 11AM in Saint Mary of the Annunciation Church, 24 Conant St., Danvers. Burial will follow in Annunciation Cemetery, Danvers. Relatives and friends are invited. Visitation will precede the Mass from 10-10:45 in C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers Square. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mr. Joyce’s name may be made to the McAuley Nazareth Home for Boys, 77 Mulberry St., Leicester, MA 01524.
