Obituary

S. HAMILTON: Caroline T. (Campbell) Andersen, 84, died Sunday, April 18, 2010 in the Kaplan Family Hospice House following a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Robert V. Andersen who died in October 1991.
Born in Beverly on October 5, 1925, she was the daughter of the late William G. and Mary L. (Conway) Campbell. She had resided in Beverly for over forty years before moving to South Hamilton forty-three years ago. She was also a graduate of St. Mary Star of the Sea Catholic High School in Beverly.
Caroline was a self-employed seamstress for many years. She had also once worked at Parker Bros. in Salem, the United Shoe Machinery Corp. in Beverly and for the Sheraton Hotels for several years.
She was a Past-President of the Hamilton-Wenham Garden Club and along with her late husband a member of the National Association of Miniature Enthusiasts. She enjoyed making crafts, including Christmas ornaments, miniatures and flower arrangements, for which she received many awards. She especially loved spending her summers on Crystal Lake in Gilmanton Iron Works, NH.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Timothy V. and Stacey (Ryan) Andersen of Hampton, NH, her daughter and son-in-law, Julie-Marie and T. Andy Frakes, Jr. of McKinney, TX, four grandchildren, Haley and Jeffrey Andersen and Isabella and Angelina Frakes, a sister, Jean Osgood of St. Augustine, FL, a brother-in-law, Charles A. Amore of Beverly, many nieces and nephews and among her many dear friends, Carol Hennessey of Beverly. She was also predeceased by her daughter, Laurie “Erin” Andersen, a grandson, Cory W. Andersen, two sisters, Catherine Amore and Sister Louise Roberta, SND and a brother-in-law, Edward W. Osgood, Jr.
Her funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday in the St. Mary Star of the Sea Church, 253 Cabot St., Beverly at 11 a.m. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday in the Grondin Funeral Home, 376 Cabot Street, Beverly from 5 – 8 p.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to the Hospice of the North Shore, 75 Sylvan St., Suite B-102, Danvers, MA 01923.
