Ann Marie Fontaine RN, 73, of Putnam Pike, died Wednesday, April 14, 2010 at her home. She was the wife for 30 years of the late William J. Fontaine and daughter of the late Walter F. and Margaret (Buckley) Gorton.
Mrs. Fontaine was a graduate of Newport Hospital School of Nursing and Chaminade University of Honolulu. She was a nurse at the V.A. Medical Center for 29 years. She travelled extensively.
She is survived by her daughters, Dianne Gross and her husband, Don of Chicago, Mary-Jane Hughes and Joanne Peterson of Florida, six grandchildren and a brother, Walter Gorton and his wife Nancye of
Greenville.
Funeral Saturday at 9 am from the ANDERSON-WINFIELD Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30am in St. Eugene Church, 1251 Putnam Pike, Chepachet. Visitation Saturday 8-9am. Burial in St. Ann’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Eugene Church, PO Box A, Chepachet, RI 02814.
