BEVERLY: Bernice (Morgridge) Kyte, 87, of Millbrook Road died Sunday, April 11, 2010 in the Radius Health Care Center, Danvers following an extended illness. She was the wife of the late Harold F. Kyte, who died in August of 1972.
Born in Portland, Maine on July 24, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Vera (Blackden) Morgridge.
Mrs. Kyte was employed as an elementary school teacher in Bradford, Vermont and Littleton, New Hampshire for many years. She played the flute, loved traveling and was a committed Christian.
A loving and devoted, wife, mother and grandmother, she adored her family and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her four children, Carolyn, wife of Eugene Libby of Chepachet, RI, Barbara Fenderson, wife of Basil Eleftheriou of Bar Harbor, ME, Ralph, husband of Sevim Kyte of Almont, MI and Katherine, wife of Mark Horvath of Beverly. She also leaves a special niece, Gina Pressey of Gorham, ME, ten grandchildren and twenty-two great-grandchildren. She was also predeceased by her daughter, Peggy Kyte and brother, Ralph Morgridge.
Services will be held on Sunday, April 25th at the North Shore Community Baptist Church, 9 Hart Street, Beverly at 2 p.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. There are no visiting hours. Interment will be held privately.
