Catherine E. (Dalton) Flaherty, 82 of Walpole died April 12 in her daughter’s home following a long illness. She was the wife of the late Joseph M. Flaherty who died in 2004.
Born in Norwood, May 11, 1927, the daughter of the late William and Agnes (Donlan) Dalton, Mrs. Flaherty was a lifelong Walpole resident.
Mrs. Flaherty was a 1945 graduate of Walpole High School and had been a dental assistant for Dr. Packard in Walpole before beginning her family.
Catherine enjoyed sewing and knitting.
She is survived by her daughters, Joann Flaherty Mailhot of Attleboro and Mary Tedesco of Walpole.
She was the sister of the late Mary Hopkins.
She is also survived by her grandchildren, Joseph, John, Maria and Paul.
Her funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, April 17 in Blessed Sacrament Church at 10:00 a.m.
Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery in South Walpole.
Visiting hours are omitted.
