Lawrence, MA- Don J. Arsenault Sr., 56, died suddenly Tuesday, April 13th 2010 at the Lawrence General Hospital surrounded by his family.
Born on June 17th, 1953, Don was the son of Walter J. and Gabrielle (Lefebvre) Arsenault. He was educated in Lawrence Public School and was a 1971 graduate of Lawrence High School. He later went on and attended the University of Lowell.
For 20 years, Don was a supervisor at Voltek in South Lawrence. After leaving Voltek, Don worked for eight years at Merrimack College as part of the maintenance department.
Don was a communicant of St. Monica’s Church in Methuen. He volunteered for Bingo and enjoyed visiting Foxwoods as part of the “Four Amigos”. He also enjoyed fishing, camping and special bowling dates with his son, and was an avid sports fan, but his biggest joy and love came from his family. They meant the world to him and he will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Don’s memory will never be forgotten and will always be in the hearts of his wife and best friend of 40 years, Eileen (Deshaies); his three children, Shelley D. Bergeron and her husband Richard of Methuen; Sheryl A. Contarino of Plaistow, NH; Don J. Arsenault Jr. and his wife Cherri of Derry, NH; brother, Robin Arsenault of Lawrence; 11 grandchildren, Ryan and his soul mate Carolyn “Carrie” Coltey, Kayla ,Taylor, Megan, Brittany, Glenn, Don III, Courtney, Nicholas, Jacob, and Kyle; one great-grandson Connor Louis. He is also survived by his brother-in-law Robert Deshaies of Lawrence, sister-in-law Jacqueline Deshaies and also several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and many cousins. He was also pre-deceased by his brother in-law Wilfred J. Deshaies Jr., and his brother Walter J. Arsenault Jr.
ARRANGEMENTS: Family and Friends may pay their respects on Wednesday April 21st from 4-8 P.M. at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home 233 Lawrence, St, in Methuen. A Funeral Mass will take place on Thursday April 22nd at St. Monica’s Church in Methuen at 9 AM.
