Ernest "Ernie" E. Anderson, 81, of Sandown, NH died Sunday, April 11, 2010 in the Derry Health and Rehabilitation Center, Derry, NH. Mr. Anderson was born in Weymouth, MA on June 12, 1928, son of the late Ernest E. and Ellen (Reardon) Anderson, Sr. He grew up in Braintree, MA, but has been a resident of NH since 1962. Mr. Anderson worked for Sanders Associates in Manchester, NH for 35 years prior to retiring. He liked to tinker, plant flowers and go camping and fishing. He truly looked forward to his yearly trips to Las Vegas with his wife, Dorothea.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Dorothea Anderson of Sandown, two daughters, Kathleen Hall of Bradford, NH and Beverly Cornelius of Manchester, NH, a son, Donald Anderson of Raymond, NH, three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, a sister, Ellen Moran of Whitman, MA, a brother, Francis Anderson of Largo, FL and also by nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours were held 5-8pm Wednesday, April 14, 2010 in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. Funeral services were held at 10:00am on Thursday in the funeral home. The burial followed in the Great Hill Cemetery, Chester, NH.
