TAUNTON - Anacleto L. Amorim, a Taunton resident, died at Morton Hospital & Medical Center on April 10, 2010.
He was 65.
Born in Fayal, Azores, he was the son of Abilio and Maria L. (Felipe) DeAmorim.
Raise and educated in the Azores, he moved to Taunton 39 years ago.
Mr. Amorim was employed by Reed & Barton Silversmiths for many years, retiring in 1998 due to a disabling car accident.
He had also worked for Amorim Auto Sales for a while.
Mr. Amorim was a communicant of St. Anthony Church and enjoyed fishing.
Besides his parents of Taunton, he leaves two sons, Mark P. and Richard J. Amorim, both of Taunton; two brothers, Abilio E. Amorim of Taunton, and Jose F. Amorim of Raynham; two grandsons, Patrick J. and Joshua Amorim, both of Taunton; and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
He was also the brother of the late Maria Cidalia Pacheco.
His funeral will be held from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton on Thursday, April 15th at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at St. Anthony Church, Taunton at 10 a.m.
Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Calling Hours will be held at the funeral home, on Wednesday, April 14th from 5 to 7 p.m.
