Obituary

WORCESTER: Vasil "Billi" Kovi, 82, died Friday April 9, 2010 at UMASS Memorial Healthcare. He was born in Cleveland, OH in 1927, son of Jorgji and Ksanthipi Kovi. Vasil grew up in Vithkuq Korce, Albania. He worked throughout his life in Albania until 1990 when he retired. In 1994 he returned to the United States living in Worcester, MA.

Vasil leaves his wife Afroviti Kovi and four children, Nesti Kovi of Worcester, George Kovi of Auburn, Klementina Duni of Worcester, and Krisanthi Prifti of Paxton, eight grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Vasil was very dedicated to his family. He was a wonderful, friendly and loving man who will be missed by many.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 13, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Mary's Albanian Orthodox Church 535 Salisbury St. Worcester. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery. Calling hours will be Monday, April 12, 2010 from 6-8:00 p.m. at Nordgren Memorial Chapel 300 Lincoln St. Worcester. A Trisagion Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Please omit flowers.
