Obituary

Worcester – Francis X. Tuson, 76, of Worcester, died on Saturday, April 10th at home after a brief illness.

His wife of 53 years Barbara L. (Allaire) Tuson died in March of 2009. He is survived by two sons Michael W. Tuson of Arligton, VA and Robert F. Tuson of Worcester; two daughters Beth A. Dowd and her husband Philip of Holden and Tracey L. Mollette and her husband Bruce of Worcester; five brothers William, Richard, Gary, Paul and Joseph; 10 grandchildren Jodie, Joseph, Julie, Brian, Lauren, Kellie, Sierra, Emma, Ella and Bradley; 4 great grandchildren Autumn, Dylan, Jeniyah and Erika.

Mr. Tuson was born in Worcester son of the late Francis C. and Hazel E. (Wakefield) Tuson and graduated from Commerce High School. He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War.

Fran worked for the City of Worcester Police Department as a Police Officer for many years until his retirement.

Mr. Tuson’s daughter’s Beth and Tracey would like to extend a warm word of thanks to the staff at Umass Memorial Hospice for their exceptional care and support for their father.

He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Alhambra Council #88, the Main South American Legion Post #341 and Saint Charles Borromeo Church.

Mr. Tuson was a devoted Papa and was most happy while spending time with all of his grandchildren.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Wednesday, April 14th in Saint Charles Borromeo Church 341 June St. at 10 AM. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family in Saint John’s Cemetery.
