Obituary

Jeannette B. Lariviere, 91, of Railroad St., Manville, died Thursday at Oakland Grove. She was the wife of the late Gaston Lariviere.
Born in Sorel, P.Q., Canada, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Arthemise (Cournoyer) Boisvert. She came to the United States as a child and lived most of her life in Manville.
Mrs. Lariviere was a homemaker and longtime communicant of St. James Church. She enjoyed reading and was an accomplished seamstress. She often volunteered her time and talent for whatever was needed in the community.
Jeannette will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She lived a life dedicated to her family and her church.
She is survived by two sons, Marcel Lariviere, and Normand Lariviere, and his wife Joan, all of Manville, three daughters, Denise Dufresne of Woonsocket, Suzanne Lanctot, and her husband Raymond, of Cumberland, and Lucy Farrell, and her husband Kevin, of Manville. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was the grandmother of the late Steven Dufresne and mother-in-law of the late Dennis Dufresne. She was the sister of the late Arthur, Herve, and Lucien Bosivert, Grace Brunelle, Evelyn Roxbury, and Germaine Lanoue.
Her funeral will be Monday at 9:00 am from the Menard Funeral Home, 71 Central St., Manville, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. James Church, Division St., Manville. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery. Visiting hours are Sunday from 5-8 pm. Memorial donations may be made to St. James Parish Endowment Fund, 33 Division St., Manville, RI. 02838.
