Obituary




Glenda Yvonne Wallace Ritchotte, 73, of Manchester, NH, formerly of the Waco, TX area, died April 8, 2010 at the Catholic Medical Center. Born in Waco on February 19, 1937, she was the daughter of Lavon Wallace and Clyde Howze. She was educated in the Waco school system and attended St. Joseph’s Nursing School in Fort Worth.
Prior to retirement, she had been employed as an LNA at the Maple Leaf Health Care Center in Manchester.

She enjoyed drawing and collecting specialty ceramic figurines, especially elephants. She loved playing the piano and was an accomplished pianist, having performed regionally in the East Texas area and at her local church in her youth. Above all else, she was a loving wife and mother who found her greatest joy spending time with her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Family members include her husband of 25 years, Joseph Ritchotte of Manchester; her children, William Daniel Gant of Arizona, Michael Curtis Gant of Arizona, Paul Ray Gant of Fair Oaks, CA, and Mrs. Wesley (Tamara Lynn) Phillips of Newport, NH; her siblings, Claude “Bud” Howze of Phoenix, AZ, Lynn Chandler of Waco, and Johnnie Howze of Corsicana, TX; many nephews, nieces, and cousins.

She is also survived by her half-sister, Doris Jean Hooper of Boliver, MO; 9 grandchildren, Jessica and Christopher Gant, Eric and Julia Gant, Daniel Gant, Mia, Noemi, Nigel and Willow; two great-grandchildren, Nicholas and Antonio.

The funeral service was held Monday, April 12, 2010 in the funeral home chapel.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, North Congregation, 99 South Mammoth Road, Manchester, NH 03109.
