BERNARD L. “BERNIE” THOMAS, 70, passed away on Thursday, April 8, 2010.
He was a retired employee of American Synthetic where he worked for 48 years, a graduate of Valley High School and the University of Louisville, a member of Shively Baptist Church, and a U. S. Navy veteran.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 46 years, Mary (Stowers) Thomas; his sons, Matthew Lee Thomas and James Bernard “Jymm” Thomas; and his brother, Joe Thomas (Lee Ann).
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West.
Visitation will be from 12 – 3 & 5 – 8 Sunday, and after 9 a.m. on Monday.
Memorial gifts may be made to the Shively Baptist Church Van Fund or the American Cancer Society.
