Obituary

Gladys M. (Garland) Fitzpatrick, 74 of Franklin died April 6 in the Maples Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Wrentham following a long illness; she was the wife of the late Robert T. Fitzpatrick who died in 1985.
Born in Norwood, August 3, 1935, the daughter of the late Thornton and Elsie (Lenz) Garland, Mrs. Fitzpatrick was raised in Walpole and had lived in Franklin for the past 50 years.
Mrs. Fitzpatrick was a graduate of Walpole High School. She had worked for the New England Telephone Company for over 20 years, retiring as a supervisor.
Mrs. Fitzpatrick was a member of the Pioneers of America, and the Red Hat Society.
Having no children of her own, she was “Aunt” to the Minnichelli and Buffone children in Franklin.
She is survived by her brother-in-law, John Fitzpatrick of Franklin.
She is also survived by many cousins and devoted friends.
Her funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 10 in the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin, 131 Main St. in Franklin at 10:00 a.m.
Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
Calling hours will be on Friday from 5-7 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in her memory to the Franklin Food Pantry, 80 West Central Street, Franklin, MA 02038.
