Mrs. Lorraine P. (Antunes) Fairweather, age 80, died at home Sunday April 4, 2010, after a lengthy illness. Born in Boston, Lorraine was the devoted daughter of the late Angelina (Pershake) & Antonio Antunes.
Lorraine has been a Woburn resident for the late 51 years, formerly of Somerville. She most enjoyed spending time with her loving family, many grandchildren, friends and her constant companion, Sam, her golden retriever.
She was an avid bingo player, piano player, loved to travel and cruise. She enjoyed reading, crocheting and the occasional trip to Foxwoods casino.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving son David E. Fairweather.
Sister Eleanor McCormack and brother Robert Antunes.
Lorraine is survived by her beloved husband Eugene N. Fairweather. Devoted children, William Fairweather his wife Kathleen, Alan Fairweather and his wife Laurel all of Woburn, Brenda Fairweather, Donna Vigneau and her husband Thomas all of Wilmington, Robert Fairweather, Sheila Lynch and her husband Daniel all of Tewksbury, Patricia MacInnis and her husband Myron of Hudson, NH, Angela Powers and her husband Gary of Hanover, MA. Also survived by 18 loving grandchildren and 2 loving great grandchildren. Sister of Albert Antunes of CA and the late Eleanor McCormack and Robert Antunes.
Funeral from the McLaughlin-Dello Russo Funeral Home, 60 Pleasant St., WOBURN, Wednesday at 9 AM. Followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Anthony Church, 851 Main St., Woburn at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Tuesday 4 thru 8.
Services will conclude with burial at Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn.
