Obituary

GLOUCESTER: Margaret G. “Margot” (Goldsmith) Williams, 81, of Lincoln Street, died Monday evening, March 15, 2010 in the Addison Gilbert Hospital following a brief illness. She was the wife of Howard V. Williams.
Born in Orange, New Jersey on May 1, 1928, she was the daughter of the late George and Edith (Linville) Goldsmith.
Margot grew up in West Hartford and was a graduate of Northfield Mount Hermon School and Endicott College.
In her later years, she was employed as an audio/visual librarian at the Sawyer Free Library until her retirement.
She was a long time member of St. John’s Episcopal Church. She was also an accomplished knitter and quilter.
In addition to her husband of sixty-two years, she is survived by her daughter, Janet L. Williams and two sons and daughters-in-law, David H. and Marta Williams and Allen H. Williams and Sarah Tambling.
Her funeral will be incorporated into the 9:00 a.m. sung eucharist on Sunday, April 11th at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 48 Middle Street, Gloucester.
