Anna M. Wanders, 75, of Claremont, NH died Tuesday March 30, 2010 at her home. Mrs. Wanders was born in Dorchester, MA on January 20, 1935 a daughter of Anne (Mitchell) Dyer. She had resided in Claremont for the past 16 years, formerly living in Hampstead, NH for many years. She had been employed as a secretary for St. Anne Church in Hampstead. She enjoyed crafts, cooking, cake decorating and jewelry making. She was loved by everyone and was a friend to all.
She is survived by two daughters, Debra J. Banks and her husband Chuck Carroll of Newport, NH, AnnMarie Wanders of Claremont, her son-in-law, Kenneth J. Greenlee of Lowell, MA, 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, one brother, Phillip Dyer and his wife Alice of Chelsea, MA, three sisters, Mary Berntsen of Derry, NH, Frances Burke and her husband Jack of Medford, MA, Geraldine Mitchell and her husband Donald of Derry, also numerous nieces, nephews and many longtime friends. She was predeceased by her husband John J. Wanders who died in 1990.
Calling hours were held on Wednesday April 7, 2010 from 6 - 8pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry, NH. Graveside services were held on Thursday at 1:00pm at West Hampstead Cemetery, Chase Rd., W. Hampstead, NH.
