Albert M. King, 88, of Wilmar, MN formerly of Westport died Monday, March 29, 2010 at Bethesda Pleasantview Nursing Home in Wilmar. He was husband of the late Irene L. “Dedy” (DeCosta) King.
Born on May 22, 1921 in Hawick, MN, he was son of the late William Dextor and the late Jesse May (Barber) King. A veteran of WWII, he served his country in the United States Marine Corps. Following marriage in 1946, he moved to Westport where he worked as a machinist for 40 years until retiring in 1984, and then moved back to MN in 2000 after the death of his wife.
Survivors include his sister: Maude Nelson and her husband Don of Battle Creek, MI; and several nieces and nephews.
He was brother of the late Victor, Ed, Ann, Beatrice, Hazel, Ada, Eva and Rhoda.
Graveside service to which relatives and friends are invited will be Monday, April 5, 2010 at Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport at 11:00 A.M.
