TEWKSBURY - Catherine M. Kelley, age 96, died peacefully Wednesday morning at Wingate of Lowell Nursing Home. She was the beloved wife of the late Donald F. Kelley, who died in 1995. She born in South Boston on August 18, 1913, the daughter of the late Patrick D. and Anne (Finn) Coakley. She was raised in South Boston and lived the greater part of her life in Dorchester and Melrose before moving to Tewksbury in 2004. Catherine was educated in Boston Schools. In her earlier years she worked as a secretary after graduating the Katherine Gibbs School. She was a proud communicant and Eucharistic Minister at the Incarnation Church in Melrose. Catherine devoted her life to her loving family. She is survived by her son and daughter in law Patrick D. and his wife June (Patterson) Kelley of Tewksbury; a grand daughter Linda C. Consaul and her husband Atty. Scott Consaul of Tewksbury; a great grand daughter Veronica Consaul; and is also survived by many nieces and nephews, including Fr. Lawrence Carew of Connecticut.
She was the sister of the late Daniel, Jerome, and John Coakley, Margaret Carew, Patricia and Frank O'Connell, and Mary Gill.
Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Tuesday, April 6, in St. William's Church, Tewksbury. Burial was at Wyoming Cemetery in Melrose.
