Obituary

METHUEN — Despina (Economou) Kyriakoutsakos, 91, died Saturday, March 27, 2010 at home, in complete peace.

She was born in 1918, in Greece. In 1956, she immigrated to this country with her husband, James, and their three children.

She had been employed as a talented seamstress with MKM Factory in Manchester, N.H. She loved to crochet and embroider. During her lifetime, she gave countless pieces of her handiwork to those she met. She was also very hospitable and known for her delicious baklava.

After years of searching for religious truth, she became one of Jehovah's Witnesses in 1962(?) and served as a full-time volunteer for over 25 years. She zealously spoke to everyone she met about her God, Jehovah. There was nothing she loved to do more than this.

She was a selfless mother, a hard-worker, and a deeply devoted Christian.

She will be missed by her daughter, Maria Martino of Methuen; sons, George and John Kyriakoutsakos of Manchester, N.H,; sister, Elli Panos; as well as several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

ARRANGEMENTS: A memorial service will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 130 Jackson St., Methuen on Saturday, April 3, 2010 at 2 p.m.
