LEICESTER: Dulces “Del” (Trott) O’Rourke 96, formerly of 1075 Main St., Leicester, died peacefully with her family at her side on Monday, March 29 in St. Francis Nursing & Rehab Center in Worcester.
She was the wife of Francis B. O’Rourke who died in 2005. She is predeceased by her first husband Clarence Longton and second husband Thomas N. O’Rourke, and her daughter Norma Longton. She leaves a step son Thomas O’Rourke and his wife Roseanne of Whiting, N.J., and a step daughter Judith Layton of Greeley, Col., nieces Susan Soden and her husband Paul of Leicester with whom she once lived and Helen Anctil of Hubbardston, and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. O’Rourke worked at the Equitable Life Insurance Co. in New York City for many years, retiring in 1976. She was born in Boston, Ma., and most recently lived at the Woods at Eddy Pond for 3 years.
She will be missed by everyone who knew her, she had a joyful nature all of her life.
The funeral will be held on Saturday, April 3 from the MORIN-MORRISON FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main St., Leicester with a Liturgy of the Word at 10 a.m. in St. Pius X Church, 1153 Main St., Leicester. Burial will follow in Maplewood Cemetery, Upton. A calling hour will precede the service from 9 to 9:45 a.m. on Saturday. Please omit flowers.
