Manuel Tavares, age 78, of Fall River, passed away March 27, 2010. He was son of the late Manuel and Mary (Rego) Tavares. Before retiring, Manuel worked for Wilkinson Oil Co. for 40 years, was a resident of People Inc., and he enjoyed being with his family, watching TV and listening to the radio. He was a parishioner of Holy Trinity Church.
He is survived by his sister Beatrice T. Krupa and her husband Robert of Fall River, niece Karen Arruda of Somerset, nephews Christopher Krupa of CT and Robert Krupa of Middleboro, great nephews Joey and Jimmy Arruda and his aunts, uncles and cousins. He was uncle of the late James Krupa.
His funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, Inc. 1521 N. Main St. TUESDAY at 9:00 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Trinity Church at 10:00 A.M.
