Obituary

Kenneth A. Foley, 80 years, of Brockton died March 27, 2010 at his home surrounded by his family. He was the loving husband of Virginia B. (Dishman) Foley. Born in Brockton, he was the son of the late John F. and Joanna E. (Brennan) Foley. Ken was a graduate of Coyle Cassidy High School, class of 1948 and attended Stonehill College following his military service. During the Korean Conflict he served with the US Marine Corps. For 32 years he had been employed by Bay State Gas Company, retiring in 1992. A longtime member of VFW Post 1046 of Brockton and an avid New England sports fan, he also enjoyed golf and bowling.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children David Foley and his wife Lovina of Riverside, CA, Geraldine Foley of Holbrook, Katherine O’Connor and her husband Fred of Camarillo, CA, Maureen Cerminara and her husband John of Lucerne Valley, CA, Beverly Ellis and her husband Howie of Scituate and Daniel Foley and his girlfriend Brenda Goodson of Brockton; nine grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. He was the brother of Richard Foley of Vermont, Velma Foley of Virginia, Julie Gillmett of the Marianna Islands, Raymond Foley of Vermont, Shelley Foley of Brockton and the late John and Franny Foley. He also leaves many nieces and nephews.

Visiting Hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton, Tuesday 4-8pm. Burial Services will be private. Donations in Ken’s name may be made to Old Colony Hospice, One Credit Union Way, Randolph, MA 02368 for online donations click here
