Clare Nash, age 91, passed away at the South Shore Hospital on Friday March 26, 2010. Clare was the loving wife for 64 years to the late Attorney Harold B. Nash. Mrs. Nash is survived by her children, Harry Nash of Braintree, David Nash of Weymouth and Judy Flukes and her husband Brian of Weymouth. She was the dear grandma of Ted, Ali, Emily, Jonno and Rory Flukes all of Weymouth. Clare is also survived by a sister, Gertrude Stanton (Sister Ann of the Trinity, O.C.D.) of Buffalo, NY, and a brother, Vincent P. Stanton of Watertown and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents; Dr. Joseph and Mary (Sullivan) Stanton and was the sister of the late Mary Stanton (Sister Mary Elizabeth O.C.D.), Father Edward Stanton, Dr. Richard Stanton, Dr. Joseph Stanton, James Stanton, Ann Stanton (Sister Mary Joseph O.C.D.) and Louise Stanton. Mrs. Nash was born in Boston, lived in Weymouth for 60 years before moving to Braintree 5 years ago. She graduated from Newton Country Day School, Emmanuel College and Boston Law School where she met her husband. After graduating she practiced Law in Boston until she married and moved to Weymouth to raise her family. Clare became active in Local Politics before serving as Counsel for her husband’s Law Firm, Nash, Monahan and McNulty in Dedham. Clare was a member of the Massachusetts Women Lawyers, the Weymouth Garden Club and the Weymouth Republican Town Committee. The Funeral will be from the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home, 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) S. Weymouth on Wednesday March 31 at 8:30 A.M. The Funeral Mass will be at the Sacred Heart Church, 55 Commercial St. in Weymouth Landing at 9:30 A.M. Visiting Hours will be on Tuesday from 4 to 8 P.M. Interment will be private at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne. Memorial Donations may be made in Clare’s memory to the Discalced Carmelite Nuns, 15 Mt.
