Obituary

GLOUCESTER: David B. Thompson, 62, died after an extended illness on Monday, March 22, 2010 in the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Boston.
Born in Gloucester on November 15, 1947, he was the son of Anna (Favazza) Thompson of Gloucester and the late Wilfred Thompson. He was a lifelong resident and attended Gloucester public schools.
He worked in the fishing industry and enjoyed it immensely. David also liked to fish as a sport, especially bass fishing.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by one son, Christopher Thompson, a brother Ronald E. Thompson, nephews, Dereck Noble , Peter and his wife Dawn Noble, cousins, Jimmy, Peter, Sonny, and Geneva Pratt, an uncle Harold Pratt and his aunt, Katie Favazza. He was predeceased by his sister, Deborah Ann Noble.
His funeral service will be held in the Beechbrook Cemetery, on Monday morning at 11a.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. There are no visiting hours Arrangements are under the direction of the Pike-Grondin Funeral Home, 61 Middle Street, Gloucester.
