Carrie Bell (Scott) Johnson, 95, died Wednesday, March 24, 2010, at the Milford Care and Rehabilitation Center in Milford. She was the wife of the late Columbus Johnson. Born in Halifax, NC, she attended Halifax Schools. Mrs. Johnson was a resident of the Boston area for many years, including in Jamaica Plain and Milford. She was the owner of CNG Cleaners in Jamaica Plain for many years, before retiring at age 65. She was involved with her church, the Salvation Army, on Berkley St. in Boston. In her free time, she enjoyed gardening and playing bingo.
She was the mother of Charles E. Johnson of E. Weymouth. Calvin F. Johnson of Bellingham and Gladys C. Johnson of CA. She was the sister of the late Zebede Scott, Randolph Scott, Lee Ivory Scott and Lucille Palmas. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be private.
