Obituary

Worcester – Richard F. Jessing, 67, of 425 Pleasant Street died on Monday Oct. 13 in his home after an illness.

He leaves his wife Saundra E. (St. Laurent) Jessing; a son Russell R. Jessing of Worcester; two daughters Doreen C. Renaud and Donna M. Jessing both of Worcester; two brothers David Jessing of Northbridge and Arthur Jessing of Coco Beach, FL; a sister Jeannette Doucimo of Rochdale; 10 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren and several nephews and nieces. A daughter Darlene R. Freeman predeceases Mr. Jessing. He was born in Marlboro son of Herman and Aline (Flagg) Jessing and graduated from Hudson high School.

Mr. Jessing worked in the shipping and receiving department of the Puma Athletic Wear Company retiring in 1987. He previously worked for School Street Storage Company.

He was a member of the Elm Park Tower Association and enjoyed doing crossword puzzles.

The funeral will be held on Thursday October 16 from the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home (www.Royfuneral.com) 12 Hammond St. with a mass at 12 noon in Blessed Sacrament Church 555 Pleasant St. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours will be on Wednesday October 15 from 7 to 9 PM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association, 35 Harvard Street, Worcester, MA 01609.
