Jean E. (Johnston) Foss, 81, of Hudson, died Tuesday, March 23rd at Marlboro Hospital after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Dana Foss who died in 1954 and her second husband, the late Leslie Foss. Jean is survived by her daughter, Beverly Brennan and her husband Edward of Greenville, NH; her sister, Lois Johnson of Lynn; her two grandchildren, Brenda Maynard and her husband William of Lunenburg, Michelle Desjardin and her husband Christopher of Berlin; her great granddaughter, Grace Desjardin and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter, Tammy Elizabeth Foss in May of 2009.
Jean was born and raised in Watertown, daughter of the late James and Gertrude E. (Williams) Johnston and attended local schools. She has resided in Hudson since 1964. She worked as a lab assistant for many years at Marlboro Hospital until retiring in 1985. Jean enjoyed traveling, especially the bus trips she took with her sisters and trips to Las Vegas and Hawaii.
A funeral service will be held on Friday March 26th at 8:00 p.m. at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc., 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749. Burial in Ridgelawn Cemetery, Watertown will be held on Monday, March 29th at noon. Calling hours will be held on Friday, March 26th from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service.
