Obituary

Charles A. Nicosia 79 of Methuen died Friday March 19, 2010 at Caritas Holy Family Hospital.
Born in Lawrence, MA son of Francesco and Antoinetta (Piazza) Nicosia, Charles was a graduate of Johnson High School with the Class of 1948. During the Korean Conflict her served in the U.S. Navy and was honorably discharged. For 20 years he was a police officer in the Town of North Andover. He enjoyed gardening, cooking, working on cars and was a “jack of all trades” and had a heart of gold and loved to help people.
He is survived by his siblings Sam Nicosia of California, Natalie Nicosia of Methuen, MA, his twin Yolanda Potter of California, Richard Nicosia of Methuen and sister-in-law Claire Nicosia of Nashua, NH.
He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Charles was pre-deceased by his brothers and sisters.
ARRANGEMENTS: Family and friends may call on Wednesday from 4:00p.m. – 8:00p.m. at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home 233 Lawrence Street Methuen, MA 01844. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday at 9:00a.m. at St. Monica’s Church in Methuen, MA with Burial to follow in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Lawrence, MA.
