Ralph J. Jacques, age 81, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, March 21, 2010 at Lowell General Hospital. For 59 years, he was the beloved husband of Rita T. (Rondeau) Jacques.
He was born in Lowell on October 25, 1928, a son of the late Alphonse and Stephanie (Lesage) Jacques. Ralph resided in Dracut and was formerly of Lowell where he was a communicant of the former St. Louis de France Parish.
Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a flock machine operator with Vertapile Corporation for over 30 years. Ralph was a member of the Club Passe Temps, CCA and the Centralville Social Club. He was also an avid bowler and a fan of the Red Sox and Patriots, but most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and Sammi.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his children and their spouses, Aline and Robert Noel of Dracut, Lorraine and David DeMange of Lowell, Roger and Ida Jacques of Dracut, Nancy and Michael DeMange of Lowell and Steve and Paula Jacques of Dracut; a brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Doris Jacques of Lowell; 7 grandchildren, Kimberly Mousseau, Brian Noel, Jared and Amanda Jacques all of Dracut, Christopher DeMange of Lowell, Katelyn Jacques of Dracut and Nicole DeMange of Lowell; two great grandchildren, Scott and Zachary Mousseau; also many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Lillian Faias, Pauline Ducharme, Maurice, Paul , Lucien Jacques.
Relatives and friends may call at the M. R. LAURIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 295 Pawtucket St., Lowell on Wednesday morning, March 24th from 8:30 until 10:30am followed by his Funeral Mass at 11 o'clock at St. Marguerite D'Youville Parish (Ste. Therese Church) Dracut. Interment in St. Joseph Cemetery.
