NEWKIRK, KATHLEEN MRYTLE, 53, of Louisville, passed peacefully in her home on Tuesday, March 16, 2010.
She is preceded in death by her lifelong companion of 30 years, Daniel Wayne Faulkner; father, Eddie Brooks; and brothers, Billy and Leonard Brooks.
She is survived by her mother, Louise Brooks; sons, Wayne Jr (Stephanie Coslow), Jerry and his wife, Diana, Garry and Daniel Lee (Tammy Colyer) Newkirk; 9 grandchildren; brothers, David and Charles Maddox; sisters, Rita Fisher, Susie Bell and Michelle Brooks; former husband, Louis Wayne Newkirk, Sr. and best friends, Sherry Kinberger and Betty Newkirk.
Her service will be 6pm Saturday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway, with cremation to follow. Visitation will be Saturday after 3pm until the time of the service
