Amos, Meril Eugene,Sr., 86, of Louisville Went to meet his Lord and Savior Wednesday March 17, 2010.
He was a U. S. Army – Air Corp veteran of WWII, retired dryer operator for the old Harshaw Chemical Company, and a member of Carlisle Ave. Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Pauline (Ashby) Amos; a daughter, Mary Ann DePew; a son, Meril E. Amos Jr. (Laura); two sisters, Doris Thomasson, and Bernie Akridge; a brother, Harry Thomasson; six grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren; dear friends that cared for him, Bob and Joann Pike.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Saturday at the Owen Funeral Home 5317 Dixie Hwy., with burial in Cave Hill Cemetery, Visitation will be 2:00 - 8:00 PM Friday, and after 10:00 am Saturday.
