WESTPORT – William D. Founds, former husband of Cynthia B. (Bernier) Brogan, died at his Westport home on March 16, 2010.
He was 64.
Born in Oklahoma City, OK, he was the son of the late Joseph W. and Minniere (Howell) Founds.
A student of Ohio State University, where he was active in varsity athletics, he also attended UMass Dartmouth, where he received a BS degree.
A resident of the area for the past thirty-six years, Mr. Founds was a senior vice president with the Bacon Felt Co. in Taunton, where he was employed for the past thirty-two years.
He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War, and was a member of the American Legion and the VFW.
Besides his former wife of Taunton, he leaves a son, Joseph W. Founds of E. Taunton; two daughters, Maryellen Founds of E. Taunton, and Kelly Campbell of Taunton; three brothers, James Founds of Freedom, CA, and John and Robert Founds, both of Ohio; a sister, Joyce Founds of Stewartstown, PA; a grandson David W. Campbell of Taunton; an aunt; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton on Saturday, March 20th at 4 p.m.
The family will receive visitors at the funeral home from 2 to 4 p.m., prior to the services.
