Obituary

Walter Morris Jean, age 76, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 12, 2010 at his home in Milton, Delaware surrounded by his loving family.

One of twenty one children, he was born and raised in Dracut on May 24, 1933, a son of the late Joseph and Rose Jean.

Walter was the beloved father, and grandfather anyone could imagine. He will be forever remembered by his devotion to his children and grandchildren. He is survived by his wife Alice (Marcotte) Jean; his daughters, Sandra (Jean) Harrington, Debra Jean and Martha (Jean) Audet; his sons, Roland Sigman and Walter M. Jean Jr.; treasured grandchildren: Robert Harrington, Lindsay Harrington, Jessica (Jean) Caro, Brittney and Samantha Lawrence, Nicole Camacho, Laurie Sigman: great grandchildren, Emilo Caro, Angelina Caro, Kendall Camacho and Cameron Camacho. He is also survived by his beloved twin brother Wilfred Jean and his brother Rene Jean along with countless other friends and family whom were blessed to know him.

Walter loved the beach, long drives, sitting in the sun, laughing and being with his family. He touched the lives of many people with his smile and generosity, and maintained his trademark sense of humor all the way to the end.

Friends and family are respectfully invited to attend a Prayer Service on Monday, March 22 at 10:30am at the Chapel of St. Joseph Cemetery, 96 Riverneck Rd, Chelmsford. The family requests all donations be sent to the people who gave such wonderful care for Walter in his time of need at Delaware Hospice, Independence Commons, 100 Patriots Way Milford, DE 19963.
