Epstein, Geraldine, 89 of Winchester and formerly of Everett passed away on March 17, 2010 at the Aberjona Nursing Center. She was born and resided in Everett for many years. Geraldine attended the Everett schools and graduated from Everett High School. She was a retired secretary for the federal government, Department of Health and Human Services. Geraldine was actively involved with the Sisterhood of Temple Tifereth Israel of Everett.
Geraldine was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Epstein. She was the devoted mother of Terrie Epstein, and Alan H. and his wife Lana Epstein. She was also the loving sister of the late Anne Hurwitz. Geraldine was the loving aunt of Rhona Hurwitz, Arthur Hauptman and Robert Hauptman. She was the devoted grandmother of Rachel and Joseph Epstein.
Services at the Torf Funeral Chapel, 151 Washington Ave., Cary Sq., on Thursday, March 18, 2010 at 11:00 AM. Interment in Everett. Memorial observance will be held at the home of Alan and Lana Epstein following the interment from 3:00-8:00 PM. Donations in Geraldine’s memory may be made to the Aberjona Nursing Center, 184 Swanton St. Winchester, MA 01890.
