Roland L. Normandin 93, of Dulude Ave. died Friday at Oakland Grove Health Care Center. He was the husband of the late Rose A. (Paquette) Normandin. He was born in Woonsocket, a son of the late Loetus and Clara (Ducharme) Normandin. Mr. Normandin was a letter carrier for the US Postal Service in Woonsocket for thirty six years retiring in 1973. He was a member of the Local Branch #54, of the National Association of Letter Carriers.
Mr. Normandin is survived by a son Robert Normandin and his wife (Lorette) of Woonsocket; a daughter Jeannette Gomes and her husband Hans-Dieter of Lincoln, nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. He was also the father of the late Roland H. Normandin and brother of the late Br. Eugene Normandin SC.
His funeral will be held Friday at 9:00 AM from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 463 South Main St. Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in All Saints Church, Rathbun St. Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery in Bellingham. Visiting hours are Thursday 4-7 PM.
