Obituary


Manchester– Edgar H. Wing Sr., 79, died March 16, 2010 at his place of residence following a lengthy illness.
He was born in Medford MA. on September 28, 1930 the son of Raymond C. and Hazel (Williams) Wing.
He served his country first as a heavy machine gunner, U.S. Army, and then as a medic U.S. Air Force.
He had retired from Phillips Academy (Andover, MA) as a stationary engineer.
Following his retirement he was a bus driver for the Manchester School System. He was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose, and a Unitarian Universalist.
He was an avid reader, bowler and Red Sox fan. He enjoyed poetry and even had some of his works published.
In His Life: He leaves his 2 sons, Dr. Edgar H. Wing Jr. and his wife Aubri Deahl– Wing of University Place, WA., Thomas C. Wing and his fiancée Carmen Vicente– Quesada of New Haven CT., 2 daughters, Mrs. Frank (Heidi) Caruso of Manchester, and Joanna Lake of GA., 5 grandchildren, Jon– Erik O’Neil, Cassandra O’Neil, NaSheka Lake, Richard D. Lake III, Eli J.F. Lake, 2 great grandchildren, Minia Lewis, and Nycherlin Lake, and his longtime companion and caregiver, Ethel Tremblay of Manchester, as well as several nieces and nephews.
A memorial reception will take place on Friday from 4 to 7 pm at J. N. Boufford & Sons Funeral Home 110 Bridge St.
Burial will be in the NH Veterans Cemetery at a later date.
