TAUNTON – Isabel (Thadeio) Viera, wife of the late John Viera, died at her Taunton home on March 13, 2010.
She was 92.
Born in Taunton, she was the daughter of the late Antone and Rose (Correia) Thadeio.
Raised and educated in Taunton, she was a lifelong resident.
Mrs. Viera was employed as a seamstress by the former Taunton Dress Co. for many years, before retiring long ago.
A communicant of St. Anthony Church, she enjoyed gardening and crocheting.
Survivors include a son, John A. Viera and his wife Jo-Anne of Taunton; a brother; Edmund Thadeu of Taunton; two grandchildren, Stephen Viera and Kathleen Alves and her husband Nelson, all of Taunton; four great grandchildren, Kyla and Kelsey Frates, Sara Viera and Brayden Alves, all of Taunton; and many nieces and nephews.
She was also the sister of the late Manuel, George and Antone Thadeu, Joseph and Anthony Thadieo, Frank Thadeio, Mary Raphael, Hortense Bettencourt and Lena Rezendes.
Her funeral will be held from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway on Thursday, March 18th at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at St. Anthony Church at 10 a.m.
Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Calling Hours will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, March 17th from 5 to 8 p.m.
