Obituary

Methuen, MA. – Frank C. Adamson, 84, died Friday March 12, 2010 at the Lawrence General Hospital.
Born in Lawrence he was the son of Frank and Ada (Getchell) Adamson. Mr. Adamson was a lifelong resident of Methuen and was class president for 4 years at the Edward F. Searles High School class of “1943”.
For many years Frank was a construction worker in Boston with the carpenters union local #33 prior to his retirement.
During world war II he served his country in the United States Army/ Air Force before being honorably discharged at wars end with the rank of Second Lieutenant.
He was a member of the Methuen Post # 122 American Legion, and enjoyed golfing, dance, and spending time at Newfound Lake.
He will be missed dearly by all his family and friends and was liked by everyone who knew him. We will always stand proud to call him “Dad”.
The widower of Arlene E. (Frey) Adamson survivors include daughters: Carolyn A. Daigle, and Kathleen and her husband John O’Neill all of Methuen, three grandchildren Alicia and her husband Anthony Cardosi of Londonderry, NH, Frank O’Neill and his wife Kelly of Manchester, NH,. and Kevin O’Neill of Atlanta, Georgia. Frank was also survived by greatgrandchildren, Austin and Aidan of Londonderry, NH, Jocee and Shannon of Manchester, NH, and a very special person to Frank and family: Claire May of Methuen.
Frank was predeceased by his son-in-law Robert K. Daigle.
Funeral Service’s will take place on Tuesday morning at 9:30 AM from the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, Inc. 233 Lawrence Street in Methuen with burial to follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
Friends will be warmly received on Monday from 4 PM - 8 PM at the funeral home.
