WORCESTER: Janet I. (Jolicoeur) O’Malley, 68, of 132 Country Club Blvd., formerly of Plantation St., died on Wednesday, March 10, 2010, at UMass Memorial Medical Center - University Campus, after becoming ill at home.
She leaves her husband of 48 years, Richard P. O’Malley; a daughter, Noreen M. (O’Malley) Deschene of Webster; a son, Timothy M. O’Malley of Worcester; a sister, Arlene M. Taylor of Rutland; 3 brothers, Donald J. Jolicoeur and his wife Barbara of Paso Robles, Ca., Robert P. Jolicoeur of El Cajun, Ca., Kevin J. Jolicoeur and his wife Cathy of Charlton; 6 grandsons, Matthew B., Michael A. and Joshua T. Deschene, Ryan S., Patrick R. and Kyle T. O’Malley; 3 great grandchildren, Quincy, Connor and Lilly; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. A sister, Paula A. Ventriglia, predeceased her. She was born and raised in Worcester, daughter of the late Hervey J. and Irene V. (Moquin) Jolicoeur and attended St. Stephen’s High School.
Janet worked as an attendant at Worcester State Hospital for many years. She also worked as a home health aide for the Visiting Nurse Association. She was a member of St. Joan of Arc Church and cherished spending time with her grandsons.
CALLING HOURS are from 5 to 8 P.M. on TUESDAY, MARCH 16 in KELLY FUNERAL HOME, 154 Lincoln St. A FUNERAL MASS will be held at 10 A.M. on WEDNESDAY, MARCH 17 in ST. JOAN OF ARC CHURCH, 570 Lincoln St., followed by burial in St. John’s Cemetery.
