Obituary

WORCESTER-Mihal “Michael” Zoto, 89, of Worcester, died Wednesday, March 10th in Holy Trinity Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He leaves his wife of 60 years Anastasia (Gano) Zoto; his son Nicholas Zotos of Worcester; his daughter Joanne Z. Psilos and her husband John of Sudbury; a brother, Angelo Zoto of Hyannis; a sister, Marianthe Litchie of Albania; two granddaughters Elena Zotos of Whitinsville and Anastasia Psilos of Sudbury and many nephews and nieces.
He was born in Kakavia, Northern Epiros, the son of Athanasios and Ioanna (Cotcho) Zoto, and in 1956 moved to Southbridge, later moving to Worcester. Mr. Zoto had been employed by the Table Talk Pie Company for 26 years as a baker, retiring in 1985. He was a member of St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral; and enjoyed time spent with his family, especially his granddaughters and gardening.
The funeral is Saturday, March 13th from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue with a service at 9:30 AM in St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 102 Russell Street. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery. Calling hours are Friday, March 12th from 5:00 until 7:00 PM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 102 Russell Street, Worcester, MA 01609.
