Louise E. Kraus, 92

Louise E. (Loree) Kraus, 92, of Westwood formerly of Jamaica Plain passed away in the comfort of her daughters home in Foxboro surrounded by her loving family on Thursday March 11, 2010. She was the wife of the late Ernest Kraus and the former wife of the late Lloyd M. Keith.
Born in Manchester, New Hampshire on December 16, 1917 she was a daughter of the late Arthur J. and Marion S. (Chapman) Loree.
Louise grew up and was educated in the Jamaica Plain section of Boston and was a graduate of Jamaica Plain High School. After being married and raising her family she furthered her education and was a graduate of Northeastern University.
Prior to retiring, Louise was employed as a Social Worker for the Boston State Hospital, a position she held for 15 years.
A resident of Westwood for the past 55 years Mrs. Kraus was a member of the Islington Community Church in Westwood. Her other memberships included the Daughters of the American Revolution, the Order of Eastern Star and she had formerly served as a Scout Leader.
Louise’s hobbies included crafts, she also enjoyed traveling but most of all she enjoyed family events and will sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her devoted and loving children Joyce E. Findlen of Mansfield, Jan S. Keith of Marshfield, Don L. Keith of Ohio, Cheryl A. Kelly of Foxboro and the late Carla E. Ringer, Paul M. Keith and Ellen L. Keith. She was the step mother of the late Elliot Kraus and Debbie Kraus and is also survived by her cherished and adoring 19 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Memorial services, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Monday March 22nd at 9:30 A.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home 55 North Main St. Mansfield. Burial will follow in Knollwood Memorial Park in Canton.
Visitation will be held prior to services on Monday morning beginning at 8:30 A.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers. Louise’s family has requested that donations in her memory be made to the Caritas Good Samaritan Hospice 3 Edgewater Drive Norwood, MA 02062.
