Jean G. Forest 69, of Avenue C died Wednesday at home. He was the husband of Pauline (Gagne) Forest. Mr. Forest was born in Woonsocket a son of the late David and Eva (Boucher) Forest. Mr. Forest was a police officer for the City of Woonsocket for over twenty six years, retiring in 1990. He was a member of the Police Relief Association, an avid golfer, and Red Sox and Patriots fan.
Besides his wife he leaves a son Michael Forest of Woonsocket, three daughters, Monique Cote of Uxbridge, Diane Benoit of Chepachet, and Nichole Stinson of TN, a brother Arthur of Woonsocket, three sisters Mary Dagesse of Burrillville, Therese Paquette of Woonsocket, and Pauline Levesque of N. Smithfield, and six grandchildren. He was also the brother of the late Francois, and Antoine "Pete" Forest, and Francoise Girard.
His funeral will be held Monday at 10:00 AM from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 463 South Main St. Woonsocket , with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 Am in Our Lady Queen of Martyr's Church, Park Ave. Woonsocket. Burial will be private. Visiting hours are Sunday 4-7 PM.
