Karen A. (Crotty) O'Sullivan of Medford, died unexpectedly March 9, She was 52 years of age. She was the beloved wife of 34 years to Richard J. O'Sullivan. Karen was born in St. John's Newfoundland, Canada and later settled in the Dorchester and Brighton sections of Boston. She attended local schools there and later went on to serve as a nursing aid in the Lawrence Memorial Hospital as well as the Mass Eye and Ear. A devoted family women, she later left medical practice to care for her growing family.
Devoted mother of Lynne Marie Ferrone and her husband Guy, Debra Clark and her husband Craig, Richard J. O'Sullivan, Jr. and his wife Sarah, all of Medford. Cherished Nana of Lauren Katheryn Ferrone, Jacoby John and Nathan Robert O’Sullivan. Loving daughter of Mary Malone and her husband James of Yarmouth. Dear sister of Donald Messinger of Cape Cod. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews and canine companion "Lucky".
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St. MEDFORD, Monday, March 15, at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Raphael Church, 512 High Street, MEDFORD at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Sunday 3 - 7. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery.
