
Jacqueline Pontbriand, 81 formerly of Linda Lane in Cumberland, died Monday at Oakland Grove Health Care Center. She was the wife of the late Maurice C. Pontbriand. Mrs. Pontbriand was born in Woonsocket a daughter of the late Pierre and Alberta (Pellissier) Lemoine. She was a textile worker at the former French Worsted and Argonne Worsted Mills, and an assembler at Metal Box and Colby Glass retiring in 1995. Mrs. Pontbriand was an avid bingo player.
She is survived by three sons Andre Pontbriand of West Chazy, NY, Roger Pontbriand of Mapleville, and Richard Pontbriand of Cumberland, a daughter Dianne Durand of Woonsocket, two brothers Roger and Robert Lemoine both of FL, a sister Lucille Millette of CA, eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She was also the sister of the late Kenneth, Paul and Fernand Lemoine, Pauline Pucciarelli, and Estelle Corriveau.
Her funeral will be held Friday at 9:00 AM from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland St. Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM, in St. Joan of Arc Church, Mendon Rd. Cumberland. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery in Cumberland. Visiting hours are Thursday 5-7 PM. In lieu of flowers donations to Oakland Grove Health Care Center, 560 Cumberland Hill, Rd.
